William’s Farm Kitchen to host The Great Hornsea Recipe Swap

Outlet shopping village, Hornsea Freeport will be encouraging shoppers to get in the Christmas spirit on Saturday 14th December and take part in The Great Hornsea Recipe Swap. Taking place in the café at William’s Farm Kitchen, visitors to the centre will be invited to bring in their favourite Christmas recipes and trade them with other attendees.

With Christmas just weeks away, the event is designed to help people pick up some fresh ideas for festive dishes they will be able to serve up during the holidays. A recipe exchange board for people to pin their print out to will be set up in a designated area of William’s Farm Kitchen, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a cup of tea and a mince pie whilst they discuss their favourite culinary delights.

In addition to the recipe swap, Mark Farnsworth, owner of William’s Farm Kitchen, will be on hand to recommend ideal products to help recreate exchanged recipes. Mark said: “We’re really looking forward to hosting the first ever Great Hornsea Recipe Swap, as it’s a really great opportunity for food fans to share their tip and tricks ahead of Christmas day, so they can bring something new to the table for that highly-anticipated dinner.

“Whether you’re bringing a family recipe which has been passed down the generations, or simply one from your favourite cookbook, everyone is invited to come down on Saturday 14th December.”

Simon Tudor, centre manager for Hornsea Freeport, said: “Christmas is such a hectic time of the year that an event like The Great Hornsea Recipe Swap provides a welcome opportunity to take a break and get some handy hints for Christmas dinner at the same time.

“William’s Farm Kitchen is perfectly placed to host such an event, as visitors can pick up some great quality Christmas fare to help them cook up a storm on the big day. We’re hoping for a great turnout and that people will come away with some really inventive dishes that they had never thought of cooking before.”
