Entries are now open for our fifth annual Charity Cycle Challenge that takes place on 19th June.

Raising valuable funds for Hornsea Rotary, the charity sportive features two routes of 60k and 100k that are equally enjoyable for beginners and experienced cyclists alike.

The sportive starts and finishes at Hornsea Freeport and takes in quiet, country lanes with refreshments provided both en route and at the end.

Co-organiser of the event and William’s Farm Kitchen owner, Mark Farnsworth, said: “We’re delighted to host this popular sportive for the fifth consecutive year and to have raised over £5,000 since 2011 to support the great work that Hornsea Rotary does in the local area.”

Autumn Cycle Challenge

We are pleased to announce that entries for the Williams Farm Kitchen Autumn Cycle Challege are now open on Sports Entry Solution’s website. Follow the link below for more info!

We are offering an 80 Km route that will head in a generally north westerly direction from Hornsea to the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds around Kilham and Rudston before enjoying a winding route back to the finish. We will be hosting the event feed station and providing a range of sustenance including their award winning homemade flapjack. We will also be providing pre and post event refreshments including hot sandwiches and drinks at the finish.

There is also a 50km alternative offering all of the above but a shorter route that avoids the undulating leg over the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds

Welcome To Yorkshire Cycling Event!

We are delighted to announce that Welcome to Yorkshire are supporting a cycling series and our event is part of the series!

The three events are Le Petit Depart in Skipton on 31st May, the William’s Farm Kitchen Cycle challenge at Hornsea on the 21st June and the Action 100 in York on 16th August. Welcome to Yorkshire have agreed that any rider who completes all three events will be awarded with a Welcome to Yorkshire Cycling jersey at the end of the Action 100 event in York.  The three events have been hand picked to offer the cyclists a great mix of routes and scenery which will take in some great areas of the county.

Cycling has never been as popular in the County and this weekend’s Tour de Yorkshire will only strengthen the sport and we hope plenty of people will be inspired to take up the challenge of all three events and claim a jersey!

There will be lots more detail over the coming weeks, in the meantime please sign up for the events using the individual event links below.
